How do we know we are holy in God's sight?

Answered in 2 sources

Believers are deemed holy through their union with Christ, who is the Holy One, as stated in 1 Corinthians 1:2.

In God's sight, believers are considered holy not because of their own works, but because they have been sanctified in Jesus Christ. This sanctification, or setting apart, indicates that God has chosen a remnant for Himself before the foundation of the world. In 1 Corinthians 1:2, Paul addresses the church as those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, emphasizing that their holiness is derived from their relationship with Him. It is by being united with Christ—who is described as 'the Holy One'—that they are made acceptable to God. Therefore, holiness is a positional truth assigned to believers, grounded in the righteousness of Christ rather than their own efforts.
