How do we know we are in Christ and part of His inheritance?

The assurance of being part of Christ’s inheritance is grounded in the witness of the Holy Spirit within us. As noted in Romans 8:16, the Spirit bears witness to our spirit that we are indeed children of God. This internal confirmation is complemented by the understanding of our salvation history—acknowledging that as sinful descendants of Adam, we are naturally condemned, but through Christ’s redemptive work, we have hope. The gifts we experience, such as mercy and grace, signify our standing in Christ and affirm our identity as a people of inheritance.
