How do we know we are living for the glory of God?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are living for God's glory when our actions, motives, and purposes align with honoring Him above all else (Colossians 3:23-24).

Living for the glory of God is characterized by actions and intentions that consistently seek to honor and magnify Him in every aspect of our lives. As outlined in Colossians 3:23-24, whatever we do should be done with our whole heart as working for the Lord, not for men. This perspective shifts our focus from self-centered motives to a God-centered existence where every action becomes an act of worship. Moreover, we must diligently assess our motivations – if any action serves self-promotion or worldly acclaim rather than glorifying God, we must reconsider our approach. Ultimately, the genuineness of our faith manifests in our love for others, illustrating that a heart transformed by the gospel naturally seeks to uplift the name of Christ in every endeavor.
