How do we know we are loved by Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are loved by Jesus when we perceive His love through His commandments and our obedience (John 15:9).

The love of Jesus for His own is a central theme in the Scriptures. In John 15:9, Jesus states, 'As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.' This profound statement indicates that His love is rooted in the same love that the Father has for Him—deep, unconditional, and eternal. Furthermore, this love is consistently reaffirmed through His commands. As believers, experiencing and understanding His love often encompasses recognizing our status in Christ and responding to that love through obedience, which ultimately enriches our relationship with Him.
