How do we know we are part of God's family?

Answered in 2 sources

Believers are assured of their place in God's family through their faith in Christ and the love He has for them.

Our status as members of God's family is rooted in Scripture, where we learn that through Christ's work, we have been adopted as God's children. Romans 8:15 reminds us that we have received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to call God our Father. This family relationship reflects a profound mystery, as Paul articulates in Ephesians 5, likening it to the bond between a husband and wife, further emphasizing that we are one with Christ. Our love for Him is a response to the love He has shown us first, and this assurance of belonging is foundational for every believer as they navigate their spiritual journey.
