How do we know we are rebelling against God?

Answered in 1 source

Rebellion against God occurs when we look away from Christ and trust in ourselves or the world.

Rebellion against God can manifest in various ways, such as relying on our strength rather than resting in Christ. When we turn to self-righteous actions or worldly alliances, we are displaying rebellion. The prophet Isaiah addresses this, describing the rebellious as those who seek counsel not from God and trust in Egypt rather than trusting in Him. Every thought or action that diverts us from reliance on the grace and promises of God is a form of rebellion. Recognizing this tendency within us is crucial for repentance and returning to God.
