How do we know we are sanctified?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are sanctified when we experience a transformative change in our desires and actions, seeking to obey God.

The assurance of sanctification comes from the inward change that believers experience upon receiving Christ and being indwelt by the Holy Spirit. In Romans 6, Paul emphasizes that those who have been crucified with Christ are no longer slaves to sin but are empowered to live in righteousness. This change is evidenced by a new influence in one’s life, an increasing desire to obey God's commands, and a struggle against sin. Moreover, the presence of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life signifies continual renewal and the strength to pursue holiness. Ultimately, sanctification is reflected in the believer's growing love for God and others, including a desire to follow His teachings and commands.
