How do we know we are truly converted?

Answered in 3 sources

True conversion is evidenced by a changed heart and a lifestyle reflecting obedience to Christ, as highlighted in John 8:31-36.

In determining the genuineness of conversion, we look at the transformation that occurs within a believer's life. John 8:31-36 emphasizes that if we are truly His disciples, we will continue in His word, which reflects a heartfelt obedience rather than mere external conformity. Moreover, cessation from sin and a new love for Christ, as illustrated by our relationship with Him, indicates that a true conversion has indeed taken place, reinforcing the reality that spiritual life comes from Christ's work in us and is not merely a result of our own efforts.
