How do we know we are truly justified and have no sin?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are justified before God, having no sin, because Christ bore their sins, as taught in 1 John 1:9 and Romans 4:25.

The concept of justification hinges on the work of Christ whereby He bears our sins. In 1 John 1:9, we are reassured that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This promise assures believers that, through faith in Christ, they are declared righteous and can be seen as having no sin. Romans 4:25 further expounds that Christ was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification. Therefore, true believers can confidently affirm their justification, understanding that their standing before God is not based on their works but on Christ's finished work.
