How do we know we are truly loving others as Christians?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are truly loving others when our actions align with Christ's love and when we seek the best for others.

True love among Christians is characterized by sacrifice and genuine concern for others, reflecting the love Christ has for us. In 1 John 2:10, John explains that he who loves his brother abides in the light. This means that if Christ is in you, you possess His love and it flows through you to others. This love seeks the best for others, fulfilling the commandment not just to love superficially but with depth and sincerity, as evidenced in our care and actions toward one another.
