How do we know we are worthy of God's grace?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are worthy of God's grace when we recognize our sinfulness and lostness, acknowledging our need for salvation through Christ.

God’s requirements for worthiness are made clear in Scripture. To be deemed worthy, one must first acknowledge their condition of being lost, sick, and in need of a healer. The Lord Jesus said, 'I came to seek and to save that which was lost' (Luke 19:10). This necessity of recognizing one’s sinful state is crucial. In Matthew 10, the directives given to Jesus' disciples, such as healing the sick and cleansing lepers, are meant to signify the need for divine intervention in our lives. It is this awareness of personal sinfulness that positions us to receive God’s grace. Thus, when we see ourselves as unworthy, we are indeed beginning to grasp the fullness of what it means to rely wholly on the grace of God for our salvation and acceptance.
