How do we know we have assurance of salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of salvation comes from faith in Christ and is not something we seek directly; it is a byproduct of true belief.

Many believers worry about their assurance of salvation, often looking for visible signs of their faith. However, assurance should not be something we seek as a goal. Rather, it is the result of possessing true faith in Jesus Christ. When we believe in Him, our assurance naturally follows, as faith leads to understanding and hope. This underscores the point that assurance is linked directly to our relationship with Christ and His completed work. Those who find assurance are generally those who are not actively seeking it, but rather resting in their faith and reliance on Christ.
