How do we know we have been chosen for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

We know we've been chosen for salvation through the assurance of God's Word and the transformational work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The assurance of our salvation and election comes from the promises within Scripture. Ephesians 1:4-5 states that God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. This divine choosing is not based on our merit but on God's sovereign grace and mercy. Additionally, the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts creates a desire for God’s will and fosters a relationship with Christ, indicating that we are indeed among the elect. Our longing to obey and seek God is evidence of His calling, affirming our status as believers.
