How do we know we have spiritual life according to Romans 7?

Answered in 1 source

Believers know they have spiritual life through the inner conflict they experience between the flesh and spirit.

The presence of spiritual life in a believer is evidenced by the continual warfare between the flesh and the spirit. As Paul writes, 'the flesh lusteth against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh' (Galatians 5:17), indicating that genuine Christians experience this internal conflict as a testament to their regeneration. This spiritual life fosters a relationship with God, enabling prayer and communion, yet is often hindered by the lingering influence of the flesh, which leaves believers longing for glorification when they will be fully liberated from it.
