How do we know we have true faith according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

True faith is evidenced by a continued belief in the Son and acknowledgment of Christ's work in our lives.

1 John 2:24 states that if what we heard from the beginning remains in us, we will continue in the Son and in the Father. This highlights that true faith is enduring; it doesn't waver based on circumstances or experiences. The testimony of the Scriptures assures us that those genuinely called by God will persevere in their faith. It is not merely a decision we make but a work of God that keeps us anchored in the truth. Thus, true faith will bear fruit in our commitment to Christ and a rejection of false doctrines.
