How do we know we're truly saved?

Answered in 1 source

True salvation is confirmed by a genuine relationship with Christ, not merely by religious works or professions (Matthew 7:22-23).

The certainty of one's salvation is found not in the performance of religious rituals or the acknowledgment of Christ's name but in knowing Him personally. As noted in Matthew 7:22-23, many will claim to have served Christ through preaching and works, yet they will be told, 'I never knew you.' This stark warning underscores the necessity of experiencing a transformation through Christ, marked by faith and a life yielded to Him. In sum, genuine salvation is characterized by a living relationship with Jesus—the fruit of which will be evident in our obedience, love for God, and desire to know Him more deeply.
