How do we know we should not fear anything?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are assured that God is sovereign over all things, which removes the reason to fear.

The command 'fear not' is found throughout Scripture, reflecting God's desire for His people to trust Him completely. In Isaiah 51, God reminds His people not to fear those who may harm them, asserting His authority over all creation. The believer’s strength lies in the understanding that God is in control and that His providence covers our lives. When we recognize God as our Father, who has adopted us, there is no reason left to fear anything outside of Him. As Jesus states in Matthew 10, we are to fear Him who has the authority over both body and soul, emphasizing the importance of recognizing God's sovereignty.
