How do we know we will behold God's face in righteousness?
Answered in 1 source
We believe we will behold God's face in righteousness because of Christ's righteousness imputed to us.
Believers can have confidence in their future to behold God's face in righteousness because, as stated in 1 John 4:17, 'As He is, so are we in this world.' This means that the righteousness of Christ is attributed to those who believe in Him, giving them a perfect standing before God. In 2 Corinthians 5:21, it affirms that Christ was made sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him, showing that our acceptance before God is based on Christ's work, not our own. Thus, as believers, we can look forward to a day when we will stand before God, unashamed and justified, due to the righteousness of Christ.
