How do we know we will not be ashamed before God?

Answered in 1 source

We will not be ashamed before God because our righteousness comes from Him, who promises that His kindness and peace will not depart from us.

The promise that believers will not be ashamed is firmly rooted in God's covenant relationship with them. In Isaiah 54:4, God assures His people, 'Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed.' This assurance is grounded in the righteousness of Christ, which is imputed to those who believe. Because our standing before God is established not on our performance but on the finished work of Jesus, we can face Him without shame. Our Maker, who is also our Husband, guarantees our acceptance, as His righteousness covers our shortcomings. This deep assurance provides immense comfort and confidence for the believer, knowing that God's promises hold true, regardless of past failures.
