How do we know we will not be condemned on the day of judgment?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are assured that they will not face condemnation because Christ bore their sins on the cross.

In 1 John 4:17, it is affirmed that believers may have boldness on the day of judgment because they are united with Christ. The assurance comes from the truth that as He is righteous and accepted by the Father, so are we in this world. This signifies that all condemnation for sin has been absorbed by Christ, who took the penalty upon Himself, allowing God's children to approach the throne of grace without fear (Hebrews 4:16). Belief in Christ alone, not personal merit or works, provides this surety of salvation.
