How do we know worship is pleasing to God?

Answered in 1 source

Worship is pleasing to God when it is done with reverence and a sincere heart.

Worship is pleasing to God as it comes from a heart that reverences Him and recognizes His holiness. The sincerity of worship stems from a genuine desire to honor Him, as reflected in the admonition to worship with a 'solemn sound' (Psalm 92:3). This form of worship acknowledges God’s greatness and deepens the believer's communion with Him. Unpleasing worship, on the other hand, often arises from a heart that is bored or disengaged, focusing instead on external acts rather than internal devotion. Therefore, true worship that pleases God is marked by an attitude of genuine affection, gratitude, and reverence for His character.
