How do we know worship should focus on God's glory?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture clearly indicates that all creation exists for God's glory, prompting the focus of worship to reflect that truth.

Worship should be directed towards God's glory because, as stated in Revelation 4:11, 'Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.' This reinforces the Reformed belief that God's purpose in creation—and by extension worship—is primarily for His glory. Worship is a recognition of God's sovereignty, beauty, and majesty, and should never succumb to self-centered or emotionally-driven practices that distract from ascribing true honor to Him.
