How do we know writing for God is important?

Answered in 1 source

Writing is important as it extends the reach of the Gospel and can encourage others long after the writer is gone.

Writing for God is significant because it allows the truth of the Gospel to be shared beyond the confines of time and space. Just as God used historical figures like John Bunyan and A.W. Pink to minister to generations, our writings can continue to impact future readers. The Scripture reminds us that our works do follow us (Revelation 14:13), highlighting that written words can continue to speak to the hearts of men even after our earthly ministry has concluded.
