How do we maintain our spiritual freedom in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Maintaining our freedom in Christ requires continual reckoning of our identity in Him and submission to His authority.

Paul teaches in Romans 6 that maintaining our freedom in Christ involves actively reckoning our identity in Him. This means understanding that, as believers, we are dead to sin and alive to God through Jesus Christ. We must not only acknowledge our freedom but also live in light of it by submitting to Christ's authority in our lives. The battle for freedom entails rejecting the world's definitions and embracing our identity in Christ, consistently immersing ourselves in Scripture to inform our convictions and combat sin. If we do not affirm our freedom, we risk falling back into bondage as we allow sin to reign over us.
