How do we obey God?

Answered in 1 source

We obey God by believing and acting according to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Obeying God involves a twofold action: believing in His gospel and living in accordance with it. Romans 10:16 highlights the necessity of believing the report of the gospel as a means of obedience. Our response to the gospel is foundational; it means accepting the work of Christ on our behalf. Furthermore, obedience is portrayed in Matthew 6:33, where we are instructed to 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.' This pursuit encapsulates the essence of a life lived in obedience to God's directives, affirming that faith and action are inherently linked in a believer’s life.
