How do we receive assurance of our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of salvation comes from faith in Christ and evidence of love for others.

The assurance of salvation rests firmly on two foundations: faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and love for the saints. As stated in Ephesians 1:15-16, these twin pillars provide believers with the confidence that they are truly saved. Any assurance derived outside of these two realities is deemed false. Thus, a Christian’s assurance should not be based on past experiences or subjective feelings but firmly anchored in trusting Christ and exhibiting love toward fellow believers. Assurance flows from recognizing that our salvation is wholly dependent on Christ’s work, not our performance, allowing believers to rest securely in their relationship with Him.
