How do we receive Christ in faith?

Answered in 1 source

We receive Christ by faith as we would eat and drink, finding our satisfaction in Him.

Receiving Christ in faith is more than acknowledging facts about Him; it involves accepting Him into our very souls, much like eating bread and drinking water. As explained in John 6, Jesus declares Himself to be the 'bread of life' (John 6:35). Just as physical bread satisfies hunger, Christ satisfies the spiritual needs of our hearts. When we truly believe in Him and take Him into our lives, our spiritual hunger is quenched, and we experience genuine contentment and peace. This can be likened to the act of drinking when thirsty; only by drinking the water do we find relief from our thirst. Thus, receiving Christ means trusting in Him wholly for our life and sustenance.
