How do we receive the assurance of salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of salvation comes through faith in Christ and understanding His finished work on our behalf.

Assurance of salvation is rooted in the recognition that it is God who calls and keeps us, not our own efforts. In Galatians, Paul highlights that believers are called into the grace of Christ. This assurance is reinforced through faith in the completed work of Jesus—His life, death, and resurrection. When believers grasp that their standing before God is based on Christ’s righteousness and not their own, they can have confidence in their salvation. Additionally, the Holy Spirit assures us of our identity as children of God, enabling us to stand firm in grace and to trust in His promises throughout life’s journey.
