How do we recognize true preaching according to Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

True preaching is recognized by its fidelity to Scripture and its focus on Christ as the foundation of the message.

Acts 13 illustrates that true preaching is not just about sharing information or doctrines but is about declaring the truth of Christ. A preacher called by God will center their message on Scripture while unequivocally proclaiming who Christ is and what He has accomplished. This includes addressing the reality of sin and the necessity of repentance and faith in Jesus. Ultimately, when a preacher faithfully adheres to Scripture and boldly points to Christ as both Lord and Savior, they bear witness to the gospel's authenticity.
