How do we respond to fear according to the Gospel?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel teaches us to respond to fear with faith in God's promises and His unchanging nature.

Fear often arises from our circumstances, as illustrated by the disciples in Mark 4 when they were terrified by a storm. Jesus questioned their lack of faith, reminding them of His power and sovereignty over creation. As believers, we are encouraged to confront our fears with an understanding of God's character, which is loving and steadfast. The key is to hold onto His promises and to remember that our worth is not based on our circumstances but on His unchanging word. He calms our storms not just through actions but by inviting us to deepen our trust in Him.
