How do we run the Christian race according to Hebrews 12?

Answered in 1 source

We run the Christian race by laying aside weights and sin, looking unto Jesus, and persevering in faith.

Hebrews 12:1-2 instructs us to run with perseverance the race set before us, laying aside every weight and the sin of unbelief that easily besets us. This race requires active effort and determination; it is not a casual walk in the park. We look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who endured great suffering for our sake. Our focus on Christ should be unwavering, as He is the ultimate example of faithfulness, and through Him, we get the strength to endure our trials and tribulations. This ongoing pursuit of holiness is essential as we seek to finish the race set before us faithfully.
