How do we seek the Lord according to the Bible?

Answered in 2 sources

We seek the Lord by recognizing our need for Him, desiring to be united with Him personally, and seeking Him on His terms.

Seeking the Lord involves a multi-faceted approach: first, an acknowledgment of our need, recognizing that apart from Him, we are lost and without hope. Secondly, it entails a heartfelt desire for a union with Him, longing for Him rather than merely desiring His blessings. Finally, seeking Him requires a willingness to submit to His terms of mercy and grace, understanding that any attempt to approach Him through personal merit will fail. It is essential to seek Him through Christ as the way, accompanied by the work of the Holy Spirit and guided by the Word of God.
