How do we worship the true God?

Answered in 1 source

Worship of the true God involves being created and made into His image through His grace, rather than attempting to create or manipulate Him.

The worship of the true God is distinct from the will-worship seen in idolatry. According to Scripture, it is God who creates and transforms His worshipers into His image. This involves a union with Christ through His grace, where believers are drawn to worship Him in spirit and truth. John 4:24 states, 'God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth,' highlighting that true worship doesn't stem from human effort or creativity, but from understanding and responding to God's revelation of Himself. True worship acknowledges God's power and sovereignty, recognizing that it is He who initiates the relationship and inspires worship.
