How do works relate to salvation in the context of the judgment seat?

Answered in 1 source

Works are evidence of faith and relationship with Christ, but they do not contribute to salvation, which is entirely by grace.

While works are significant in the life of a believer, they are not the basis for salvation. Salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). Works are fruits that testify to the reality of one’s faith, as seen in Matthew 25, where actions toward others reveal the believer's relationship with Christ. The judgment seat will unveil these works, demonstrating the genuineness of one's faith. Thus, believers are assured that their acceptance before God is through Christ alone, not by their achievements, yet they are compelled to act in good works as an outflow of their salvation.
