How does believing in Jesus relate to doing the will of God?

Answered in 1 source

Believing in Jesus is itself the will of God, as He commands us to rest in Him for salvation.

Doing the will of God, as stated by the Lord in Mark 3:35, is fundamentally tied to believing in Jesus Christ. This belief goes beyond mere acknowledgment; it is an act of faith where we entrust our salvation to Him. John 6:40 echoes this, stating that God's will is for everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him to have eternal life. To do God's will, therefore, is to accept Christ’s sacrifice and trust in His righteousness, fulfilling His command for our lives.
