How does Christ act as our refuge according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Christ acts as our refuge by providing safety, security, and a place for true worship.

The analogy of cities of refuge is crucial here. Just as these cities served as safe havens for those who had accidentally committed manslaughter, Jesus is our ultimate city of refuge (Numbers 35:15). When we flee to Him, we find safety from judgment and spiritual death. Isaiah confirms that sanctifying the Lord as our fear and dread will lead to Him being our sanctuary. This sanctuary allows believers to retreat, reflecting His holiness and mercy, while providing a secure space for worship and relationship with God.
