How does Christ crucified affect worship?

Answered in 1 source

Worship without recognition of Christ crucified is rendered meaningless and becomes mere idolatry.

According to the sermon, worshiping God must be rooted in the truth of who Christ is and what He has accomplished through His crucifixion. Christ's sacrifice is the means by which God seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and truth. Any worship that does not center on the redemptive work of Christ is considered dysfunctional; it lacks the essence that connects believers with the true God. Therefore, it is essential to recognize that true worship arises out of an understanding of Christ's crucifixion, reaffirming that all aspects of worship are a response to His saving grace.
