How does Christ deliver us from the world?

Answered in 1 source

Christ delivers believers from the world's evil influences and its temporary values by giving them new life in Him.

The present evil world is characterized by sin and rebellion against God. Believers are called to not be conformed to this world, as emphasized in 1 John 2:15-17. Christ delivers us from this fallen world by transforming our hearts and minds, enabling us to find our identity and purpose in Him rather than in worldly pursuits. By His sacrifice and resurrection, we are brought into a new creation, liberated from the temptations and values of the world around us. Our focus is now on eternal things, as we await His return and the final fulfillment of our deliverance.
