How does Christ fulfill the covenant of works?

Answered in 1 source

Christ fulfills the covenant of works by perfectly obeying the law and offering Himself as a sacrifice.

The covenant of works demanded flawless obedience to God’s holy law, an impossible standard for humanity due to our inherent sinfulness. Christ, however, fully met this requirement by living a sinless life, perfectly obeying every stipulation of the law. His substitutionary sacrifice on the cross satisfied the demands of justice and provided atonement for sin, thus fulfilling the covenant of works for all who believe in Him. This act restores our relationship with God, enabling us to stand before Him clothed in Christ's righteousness, free from condemnation.
