How does Christ gather His sheep?

Answered in 1 source

Christ gathers His sheep through the preaching of the gospel (John 10:16).

Jesus indicates in John 10:16 that He has 'other sheep that are not of this fold' which He must bring into one fold. This gathering of His sheep speaks to His work of evangelism and the global mission of the Church. The role of the gospel is essential, as Christ calls His sheep through the truth of His Word. When the gospel is preached, His sheep recognize His voice, respond, and are brought into fellowship with Him. This gathering is an ongoing process as believers share the gospel, and Christ sovereignly calls each of His chosen ones to Himself, uniting all His people into one body, the Church.
