How does Christ provide peace for the believer?

Answered in 1 source

Christ provides peace for the believer by being our righteousness and the source of eternal comfort and rest.

Believers find unparalleled peace in Christ, as He is our righteousness; through Him, we are reconciled to God (Psalm 4:1). Understanding that Christ’s perfect obedience fulfills the law for us wholly assures us that we stand accepted before God. This union with Christ means that His righteousness is imputed to us, allowing us to rest in the fact that our sins have been fully dealt with. Consequently, knowing that we are secure in Him provides profound peace that the world cannot offer. Christ's sacrifice, securing our justification and reconciliation to God, leads to the kind of peace that permeates our hearts even in the face of life’s trials. We can truly sleep in peace knowing our eternity is secure in Christ.
