How does Christ's death provide access to God?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrificial death removes the separation caused by sin, granting believers direct access to God.

Through Christ's death, the separation caused by sin is effectively nullified. The rending of the veil in the temple signifies that the way to God is now open for all who believe. Before Christ's sacrifice, the veil symbolized the barrier that kept sinners from the Holy of Holies, but upon His death, that barrier was removed. As our High Priest, Christ entered the holy place once and for all with His own blood, obtaining eternal redemption. Believers can now approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that they are accepted in Christ. This access brings forth peace, comfort, and a promise of communion with God, which is the very essence of the gospel.
