How does Christ's intercession affect our prayers?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's intercession ensures that our prayers are acceptable to God, granting us confidence as we approach Him.

The intercessory work of Christ is fundamental to the efficacy of our prayers. According to Hebrews 10:19-22, we can have boldness to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus. This means that our prayers do not rest on our merit but on Christ's atoning work. When we pray, we do so in His name and through His righteousness, which allows us to approach God without fear. Additionally, as our Advocate, Jesus pleads on our behalf, reminding us that we are accepted not because of who we are but because of who He is. This assurance frees us from guilt and condemnation, allowing us to converse with our Creator confidently and reverently.
