How does Christ's love influence our ability to love others?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's love transforms us, enabling us to love others genuinely as He loves us (1 John 4:19).

The ability to love others comes from understanding and experiencing the love of Christ in our own lives. According to 1 John 4:19, we love because He first loved us. This foundational truth highlights that our capacity to genuinely love others is a direct result of being loved by Christ. When we fully grasp His unconditional love, grace, and mercy, it compels us to extend that same love to others. As we grow in our understanding of His love, we will see a deepening capacity and desire within us to love our brethren unconditionally, fostering unity and peace in the body of Christ.
