How does Christ's righteousness qualify us for heaven?

In Colossians 1:12, Paul states that God has made believers suitable to inherit the kingdom. This qualification is achieved through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. When Christ obeyed the law, those who believe in Him are seen as having obeyed as well. His righteousness is imputed to us, meaning that God views us as flawless due to Christ’s accomplishments. Therefore, we can confidently approach God, knowing that we are covered by the righteousness of Christ and deemed worthy to enjoy fellowship with Him eternally in heaven.
