How does Christ serve as our forerunner?

Answered in 1 source

Christ serves as our forerunner by preparing the way for us to enter God's presence through His completed work of redemption.

In Hebrews 6:20, Christ is referred to as our forerunner, having entered into the holy place as our representative. He has successfully completed the race set before Him, fulfilling the law and making the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. As our forerunner, He has removed the obstacles that impede our access to God, serving as a bridge between humanity and the divine. This means that through Christ, believers not only have direct access to the presence of God but also assurance that our paths have been made clear for spiritual growth and fellowship with Him. His role as forerunner brings us encouragement to continue in faith, knowing that He has paved the way and intercedes for us.
