How does divine revelation occur in salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Divine revelation occurs as Christ makes Himself known to the sinner through the Holy Spirit.

Divine revelation is a pivotal aspect of salvation, where Christ reveals Himself to the sinner, making known the truth of who He is (John 17:3). In John 4:25-26, the Samaritan woman acknowledged the coming Messiah, to which Jesus revealed that He is indeed that Messiah. This unveiling is facilitated by the Holy Spirit, who works within individuals to enlighten their understanding and draw them to Christ. Hence, knowing Christ is a relational understanding born from His sovereign initiative in the heart of the believer.
