How does failure lead us to God?

Answered in 1 source

Failure often reveals our need for God, ultimately driving us to seek His mercy and provision.

In the context of John 21, the disciples experienced failure after fishing all night without success. This failure became an opportunity for Jesus to reveal Himself as the one who provides and meets their needs. Our human failures can lead us to a deeper understanding of our limitations and drive us to cry out for God's mercy. It is in our empty boats that we truly recognize our need for Christ's guidance and sustenance. The recognition of failure acts as a catalyst to humble ourselves and rely on God’s grace, which is often when we experience His presence and help most profoundly.
