How does faith lead to following Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Faith naturally compels believers to follow Jesus as an expression of love and commitment.

In the account of blind Bartimaeus, upon receiving his sight, he immediately followed Jesus. This reflects a key aspect of genuine faith: it produces a desire to follow Christ. According to Galatians 5:6, 'faith worketh by love,' indicating that true faith is active and expressed through obedience and discipleship. When a person understands the grace and mercy shown to them through Christ, as Bartimaeus did, they cannot remain passive; their gratitude and love drive them to follow Him. This following is not based on obligation but arises out of a changed heart transformed by the Spirit of God.
