How does faith play a role in coming to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is the means by which we approach Christ, trusting in His power to heal and save.

The leper's encounter with Jesus in Luke 5:12-16 illustrates the power of faith in salvation. Despite his unclean condition, the leper approached Jesus with confidence, saying, 'If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.' This expression of faith demonstrates an understanding that Jesus had the authority and willingness to heal. In Hebrews 11:6, we learn that without faith it is impossible to please God, as those who come to Him must believe both in His existence and in His ability to reward those who seek Him. Faith is not merely intellectual assent but a heartfelt trust and reliance upon the person and work of Christ. It is through faith that we find salvation and see the transformative power of God at work in our lives.
